Maximize Athletic Performance (MAP) is a leading fitness center and private gym in Inglewood, California that specializes in strength training, conditioning, and muscle recovery and rehabilitation. Our expert personal trainers work with you to create personalized fitness plans that meet your individual needs and help you reach your goals.
Peter Girgis was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. A graduate of California State University Dominguez HIlls, he has worked in the physical fitness industry for 8 years. After six years, he founded Maximize Athletic Performance to help individuals reach their wellness goals. He works with a variety of clients ranging from professionals, college athletes, younger students, and occasionally those who he affectionately calls his weekend warriors. In addition to strength and conditioning, has a passion for helping his clients with recovery so that they may feel like their best selves. When he’s not at the gym, Peter enjoys traveling and spending time with his loved ones.
Chris Frontanez is the Director of Sports Performance at Maximize Athletic Performance. A veteran in the field, he has certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and Rapsodo (baseball/softball hitting and pitching). Chris is passionate about helping clients reach their goals and develop healthy habits to maintain long-term success. Additionally, he is committed to helping individuals take charge of their lives by introducing them to the important connection between physical health and mental well-being. He’s known for often encouraging clients with his famous line, “Push through! Go get it! Go Get it!”. In his spare time, Chris enjoys attending music festivals and eating his grandma’s cooking.
Playing Division I baseball has been a dream of mine since high school. Thankfully, Peter has helped me every step of the way so I could achieve my dream and become a pitcher at UNLV. Since my sophomore year of high school, he has helped me increase my body awareness and control so I could dominate on the mound.
There is no way I would have made it this far without the help I’ve received from Peter and MAP. They recognized my talent and helped me become more powerful and explosive in my pitching. Because of their help, I am now a pitcher at my dream school, USC.
Some of the biggest challenges we face as athletes are not always on the field, but oftentimes in our head. I spent 3 months training at MAP and it helped give me the confidence I needed to succeed. With a proper workout and nutrition plan, I also gained weight to improve my dominance on the field.
Before working out at MAP, my goal was to build muscle and gain flexibility. To achieve those goals, I made sure to eat more, work out five times a week, and stretch out my muscles. Peter and Chris have been working with me every step of the way, helping me become faster and more agile. I recommend MAP to any athlete trying to get to the next level in any sport. At MAP, you can workout in a professional environment to improve your strength, speed, agility, flexibility and endurance. Unlike other programs, they ensure you’re executing the exercises correctly in order to make sure you’re successful. I guarantee that you will become the best athlete you can be.
As a female athlete playing collegiate softball, I knew I wanted to grow my self confidence so I could be more dominant on the field. At MAP, I’ve been able to focus on my explosiveness and hand eye coordination. I’m so proud of my progress. I can now execute 2 pull ups on my own!
In order to prepare for the draft, I knew I needed to improve my skill and get in better shape. I came to MAP with chronic back pain. Peter coupled rehabilitation with intense training. We worked on eliminating my pain and improving my power and explosiveness. I’m happy to report that I was able to get drafted by Kansas City.
I started my fitness journey at MAP over 2 years ago and i’ve been so impressed with how much i’ve improved. My goal was just to lose weight but working out at MAP i’ve reached my goal and so much more. I learned to push myself when it comes to weight lifting, improved my mobility, rehabbed previous injuries and learned to maintain a clean diet. I came to MAP knowing very little about weight lifting and now i’m extremely confident in myself and my form. Today i’m the leanest and strongest i’ve ever been and I wouldn’t have been able to achieve those goals without the help of Peter.
